Overview
From Carl Houston
I was the sound designer for the Adult Swim pool party hosted at Ziegler Park by the City of Cincinnati. My role involved curating a dynamic soundscape for the entire event, setting the tone from start to finish with intentional music selections that matched the energy of the space and the crowd.
I managed all aspects of the audio environment, including equipment setup, sound checks, and live mixing throughout the evening. The layout of the venue included a pool deck, vendor area, and open-air lawn, which required thoughtful sound placement and real-time adjustments to maintain clarity and flow across each zone.
This project was about more than just playing music. It was about building atmosphere, reading the crowd, and supporting the city's vision for a vibrant community experience. I brought together the technical side of sound design with a creative, responsive approach that kept the energy consistent and the experience memorable.
