The founders behind the idea of the Hawthorne Hotel had embarked on a journey to build “Salem’s own hotel… to meet the particular needs of Salem, its guests, and visitors.” -Historic Hotels of America. Today, we’re still doing exactly that. Since the need for the Hawthorne Hotel was evident in Salem, MA in the 1920s, we’ve been on a beautiful and progressive journey ever since. This journey has brought us to purchase additional property, brought us from an Inn to a Hotel, and has united us with remarkable guests. At the end of the day, the needs of our guests are of the utmost importance to us.
