The Modern Fossil

Dirk van der Kooij’s signature room is an ode to the end of an era of records and CDs. The room’s centerpiece is a conference table made from parts of old record players. CDs, often overlooked as recyclables from the 2000s, find a new purpose in the form of a characteristic lamp hanging above the table. The room’s unique features also include rooftop windows and chocolate molds (no joke).
