Opened in December 1922 by Princess Beatrice, the youngest daughter of Queen Victoria, the gallery contains Lever’s personal art collection and is famed for its world-class collection of Wedgwood Jasperware, Chinese porcelain, and 18th-century furniture. A short drive away from Liverpool's city center, Lady Lever Art Gallery is the spectacular cornerstone of the picturesque village of Port Sunlight, which Lever built to house his employees. With a grand BeauxArts style exterior, the gallery is centered on a breathtaking grand hall filled with paintings, where dinners both large and small can be hosted. There are also two beautiful rotundas with stunning glass domes, each of which is filled with ornate sculptures. The South Rotunda is a particularly popular space for drinks receptions, as it offers a fantastic view of the village and fountain which sit at the front of the building. Numerous other spaces at the South End of the gallery can be utilized for events too.
