The Palais Brongniart was built by the architect Brongniart at the instigation of Napoleon Bonaparte. By laying the foundation stone in 1808, the Emperor wanted to bring all stock exchange activities together in one place, a real innovation at the time in order to optimize the existing system. The event activity of the Palais Brongniart makes it one of the leading convention centers in France, with nearly 400 events hosted throughout the year (fashion shows, exhibitions, conferences, ceremonies, etc.), a program focused on new technologies and a constant desire to anchor this historic site in modernity.
