Designer Paul Kelly has created a contemporary ‘wa’ enclave for Gogyo that comfortably accommodates 80 people within bustling Surry Hills. Details have been painstakingly considered for the interior: everything from the colorful retro ramen bowls to the elegant glassware, to traditional Japanese baskets to place belongings in. Guests can choose from ambient tabletop dining or watch the theatre of the making of Kogashi-style ramen from counter stools.
