Donisl

The Donisl, opened in 1715 by Max List from Ramersdorf as the "Bierwirtschaft am Markt", is the second oldest restaurant in Munich. The building, originally erected as a grain knife house, has existed since 1315. It was not until 1760 that the Donisl got its current name, derived from the then tenant Dionysius Haertl. The Musikantenwirt, Peter Reichert, has been the leaseholder of the traditional restaurant on Marienplatz in Munich since 2021.
