Under the eaves between two windows, Mother Spider born in 1762, watches over all our happiness. And if you listen carefully, you may be lucky enough to hear the gentle rustle of the little branch of the river Senne that flowed through here until the 19th century. Or was it perhaps the sighs coming out of the now-vanished 16th-century Carthusian monastery opposite?
