King Georg in Cologne, Germany’s first digital straight-ahead Jazz Club, was always one of the finest to offer live music. But recently the club has reinvented itself as a pioneer in the space of live digital music in Germany, and wider Europe, with several concerts per week distributed via live stream over the internet. They range from world-famous acts like the New York Emmet Cohen Trio to Young Talents, a series of concerts for up-and-coming artists, which offers young musicians not only a stage but also financial support in these difficult times. Overseeing the musical program is Martin Sasse, who is counted as one of the most exceptional pianists Germany has to offer, and who can often be heard at the Steinway grand piano that stands on the stage at King Georg.
