Tranquillo. In Italian this word is used for many things. Quiet, calm, peaceful, relaxed. Everything is how it should be. Posada Margherita is a culinary-forward oasis inspired by the authentic comforts of Italy, designed to exude and create tranquillity on the shore of the Caribbean. Inspired by their Italian roots, the owners have created a secluded retreat guided by respect for tradition, nature, home, family, and cuisine. When you enter our posada (which means small hotel in Italian), you enter our home and become part of our family for a time. The hotel features eight distinctly different Italian villa-style (non-smoking) rooms that surround a lush tropical courtyard. Respectful communication is the foundation of Posada Margherita. We have thoughtfully filled every corner with magic and wondrous experiences to enjoy and contemplate. We have taken care to maintain the mystical & tranquil essence of Tulum. As such, it is a family environment; parties and loud noise just don’t fit it and are not allowed. If you think we have too many rules, then you probably didn’t grow up in Nonno Pino’s house! Kidding aside, we ask that all our guests respect each other and our staff and preserve this quiet setting for everyone.
