The 12 Decades Apartments chronicles the history of Johannesburg from 1886 to 2006, with rooms designed and conceptualised by some of South Africa’s most celebrated artists and designers. Each room explores a different theme appropriate to Johannesburg’s colourful mining and commercial history as Africa’s most powerful economic city.
