WE OPENED OUR DOORS ON JUNE 25, 2015 AT 430 EAST 9TH STREET IN THE EAST VILLAGE OF MANHATTAN. ON APRIL 1, 2023 WE RELOCATED AROUND THE CORNER TO 119 AVENUE A ACROSS THE STREET FROM TOMPKINS SQUARE PARK. SB IS A PROUDLY LACTO-OVO VEGETARIAN RESTAURANT WITH A SIZABLE AMOUNT OF VEGAN MENU OPTIONS FOR THE VEGANS. WE HAVE A FULL BAR! WE BAKE A LOT OF OUR OWN BREAD (BUT NOT ALL OF IT!) THANK YOU!

Rejoice! Brooks Headley’s beloved East Village diner got a serious upgrade (read: a much larger space). While it’s known for its vegetarian takes on burgers, do not sleep on the experimental specials (think Marcella bean and escarole toast, Ezekiel bread grilled cheese), the must-order collard greens sandwich, or any of the incredible desserts.
