The inn’s castle-like inspired detail provides a historic element when visiting. Inspired by European style, The Berkeley Hotel now sits along the James River and neighboring cobblestone streets. Named after Virginia’s most historic plantation, owner Mr. Malcom Jamieson, was the hotel's very first guest in August 1988. With Jamieson’s stay began the iconic Richmond charm & boutique experience written in the history of The Berkeley Hotel.
