Located at 60 Thames Street in Portland, Maine steps away from the Ocean Gateway Pier. Helm is on the ground floor of the WEX building. Helm’s dining room is bright and open with two full walls of window looking out to the neighborhood, the adjacent mirror reflects both the inside and outside. The design is influenced by nautical architecture, Japanese kanso, and local materials. The interior is pared down and minimal, focusing on the dark walnut wood furniture, textural lines, and subtle curves.
