This former Colonial home and Inn has been restored and furnished in the period-style. The house has a rich history, starting from its construction in 1691 by Samuel Bennett, and later becoming a tavern and inn. It has been in the Paine family for 87 years before being turned over to the Western Rhode Island Civic Historical Society. Today, the Paine House Museum is a registered National Historic Landmark.
