Yamatane Museum of Art

The Yamatane Museum of Art was founded in 1966 as Japan's first art museum specializing in Japanese paintings. With a collection of approximately 1800 pieces, including modern and contemporary Japanese paintings, as well as ancient paintings and ukiyo-e, the museum showcases the charm of Japanese paintings through high-quality exhibitions. The museum aims to contribute to society and culture through art, following the philosophy of its founder, Taneji Yamazaki.
