About

Château de Sancerre is one of the rare French châteaux to bear the name of an appellation. Located on the left bank of the Loire, it dominates a unique terroir of 4 different soils. With 55 hectares of vineyard, planted with vines with an average age of 25 years, the estate produces beautifully structured Sauvignon Blancs that are lively and fresh, evoking aromas of ripe gooseberries, hints of smoke and flint. The wines are vinified and aged directly at the estate, following the demanding art of blending to remain loyal to the motto of the Constable of Sancerre: “Come before the Best”. The entire vineyard is labeled HVE level 4 (High Environmental Value), ensuring a commitment to biodiversity, fertilization management, irrigation, and phytosanitary strategy.
