El Rinconcito de Santa Barbara Restaurant was founded on April 4, 1997 in the city of Hialeah in Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA. It started as a small Cuban Cafeteria, including toast, cuban coladas, “cortaditos” and a small takeout Canteen. Two years later we begun to offer the Mofongo and Puerto Rican food, including the famous Yellow Rice with Pigeon Peas. Undoubtedly, this idea was a success and our customers accepted it as something exquisite. Gradually, new dishes were created around the Mofongo, like Mofongo with Fried Pork Chunks our most popular dish ever.
