Bayan Ko is an independently owned Filipino and Cuban restaurant in Chicago founded by Chef Lawrence Letrero, who is of Filipino descent, and his partner Raquel Quadreny who makes up the Cuban half of the equation. The food is a combination of dishes from their heritage, inspiration from family recipes, and Chef Lawrence’s experience with contemporary American cooking in Chicago. Bayan Ko means “Our Home” in Tagalog. Our mission is to create a welcoming and positive meeting space in our community where family and friends can gather and enjoy a delicious meal.
