Christophe spent his formative years as a chef in England Scotland and France before turning to hotel management. He finally settled in Martigues near Marseille in 2000 at The Originals Boutique Hotel Clair Martigues.The hotel is nestled in a residential quarter and doesn t really draw your attention from the outside. But push back the door to be charmed. Christophe and his wife are bold and passionate interior designers. We like to give new life to forgotten objects and furniture. So we have encased keys in the concrete floor attached headboards to the wall and even given new life to an old wood-burning stove by fitting an induction hob which we use for serving breakfast. Originality calm and comfort reign in this 3-star hotel that offers a relaxing and distinctive stopping point after a visit to Martigues and its surroundings which Christophe knows very well.
