Inspired by the life of Jean Parisot de Vallett - Palazzo Jean Parisot is now named after the influential Grandmaster of the Order of the Knights of St John. After all - he was the man who built Valletta and he oversaw the laying of its foundations in 1566 after the final battle of the Great Siege of Malta was complete.
