Good Morning! Have any of your planned /executed private group events in any of the Walt Disney World (Orlando) parks before? I've got a dinner and buyout of 2 attractions planned in Epcot for 600 (Contract signed and site visit complete). They've been great so far but since this is my first time working an event in their park and with their catering team I don't know what I don't know and would appreciate any tips of things I _should_ know that they may not tell you in advance. If you've thought "if only I knew that sooner" - I want to know! Would love to connect with anyone who can offer advice. Thank you!

She doesn't want a corporate space or standard hotel, and wants it to have some sort of access to nature. Their budget is about $600/day. I know that Republic Square is close by and could do a picnic and activity but would also love to know of some close by team building activities that we could do outside of the hotel during the conference that are not too far away.

Vegas HELP My Company has a booth at an upcoming tradeshow in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay and we typically do a happy hour or event after the exhibit hall closes. What went well:

• The delegates were thrilled to go on New Jersey’s most expansive economic mission ever. 40+ MOUs, partnerships, and important contracts were signed, including a drivers license reciprocity agreement with NJ and the Korean National Police association.

• Positive press all around. We got lots of write-ups in local media. Having a reporter on the ground with us helped.

• Governor Murphy was able to meet with the head of state in every country - not something all Govs get to do. He even brought a guitar signed by Bon Jovi as a gift for a music-loving high-ranking individual.

• Overall, I just can’t believe I successfully planned logistics, managed 90 meetings/sessions/events, and moved 60+ people, including the Gov, his family, and their security, across so many countries/cities with no major issues. Definitely my biggest accomplishment ever.

For next time:

• My events team was way too small (ie, it was a one-woman show of just me) and I lost not only an extraordinary amount of sleep but my mind a few times too. I’m advocating for an event coordinator to be added to my team now.

• Hoping for a longer lead planning time for the next economic mission.

• Still learning to navigate the world of politics/politicians. Personalities, rules, and processes much different than I’m used to.

• Need to buy comfortable shoes. My plantar fasciitis was really on fire this whole time with the literal running around we had to do. In the past, I could wear sneakers but with this crowd I had to be in dress shoes all the time. My Naturalizer loafers did not deliver on the promised support. Time to buy good insoles!
