Scattered Kind Tufting Studio

Scattered Kind is a New York–based tufting studio specializing in high-quality custom rugs and immersive tufting experiences for brands, agencies, artists, and experiential producers. As the first dedicated tufting studio in the U.S., we combine craft, design, and scalable production to bring visual concepts into physical, textural form. We fabricate commercial-grade rugs ranging from small art pieces to large-scale installations for retail, workplace, hospitality, exhibitions, brand activations, and scenography. Our work spans sculptural rugs, color-blocked designs, artist collaborations, and fully custom commissions. In addition to fabrication, we offer live tufting demos and participatory activations - a unique, highly engaging experience where guests watch a rug being created in real time or contribute to the artwork themselves. These activations have been featured in galleries, showrooms, and branded events, consistently drawing crowds and creating memorable content moments.
