About
The Reef, originally called Comptons, was built by the Usina family on a beautiful piece of oceanfront property in tranquil North Beach — three miles north of the Usina Bridge — on land owned by the family for generations. Comptons opened in 1989 and enjoyed great success for the next ten years. It closed in 1999 due to the ill health of Mr. Compton and hurricane damage. One of few remaining true Oceanfront restaurants in Northeast Florida, The Reef, reopened in 2002 under the direct ownership of the Usina’s, commands the most spectacular views. Sit at any table inside and the view is dynamic to say the least, or enjoy the recently rebuilt and expanded deck where you not only look out at The Atlantic Ocean, you listen to it too as the waves break and the birds sing. To complement this vista, our culinary team under the direction of Chef Denzel Aponte, delivers a menu primarily of fish and seafood balanced with beef, poultry, pasta and creative specials always fresh and sourced locally when possible.

We do not have A/V equipment in-house but we can rent it for you or you are welcome to bring in your own.

The Reef offers ample free parking with our main parking lot adjacent to our building and an additional parking lot directly across the street.
Furniture
Furniture included
Our room rental fees include the use of tables, chairs, glassware, dish ware, silverware, white tablecloths, and white napkins. Additional rentals are available to purchase.

Cancellations
A 50% room rental fee is required to secure your event space and date. We offer a full refund if cancelled more than 90 days before the event date and a 50% refund if cancelled more than 60 days before the event date. There is no refund if cancelled less than 60 days before the event date.
Cleaning and Trash Removal
All client items must be removed from the event space at the end of the event unless otherwise stated on the final event order. Fees may apply if damage occurs or glitter/confetti is used.
