hey Ryan, just a heads up about November in SF - the city is hosting APEC Meeting - 11/12-11/18. They will be doing some major safety measures, there are going to be a lot of traffic, hotels are booked, homeland security is no joke. One of my events was forced to change the dates. Its a little more conventional, but you could host a party at the Top of the Mark Hopkins? Or maybe a private luau at the Tonga room at the Fairmont across the street? Its a fun vibe, especially with the fake rain storm and floating bandstand.

Run-of-Show:

4:30 - 5:00 | Cocktails, apps + networking

5:00 - 5:05| Introduction + welcome

*5:05 - 5:20*| Lightning Talk: Presentation

5:20 - 5:50 | Client Spotlight: Panel

5:50 - 6:40 | Breakout discussion groups (need to be able to break out into 6 groups of 10 or 10 groups of 6 in the same room)

6:40 - 8:20 | Dinner + networking

Where to Find Budget-Friendly Event Venues in Boston and SF?

We could use some help from this amazing community -- we are trying to source venues in Boston and SF for June and our client has little to no money. We've looked at Loft on Two in Boston - and similar locations in SF (but they are just too pricey).

1 1/2 day program

150 people in SF and 75 people in BOS

Need main presentation room + 2 small breakout rooms + space to serve lunch

If the venue has built in AV, that is a plus b/c our AV budget is super small too.

Any ideas you may have is much appreciated.
