When Should You Book a Venue for a NYC Holiday Party?
hi all! i’m based in NYC and planning a team offsite (~40 people) and holiday party (~100 people) in december and curious - when would you consider we’re getting in the “danger zone” for venues booking up? when would you start your search? thanks!🎄

July/August 😁 but depends on how far are you going with those activities, just a restaurant or more? December is a tricky month and usually booked in far advance for parties.

Give yourself 4-6 months of planning time I’d say would be the average to secure the venue you want not the one you have to end up with

Yes coming from the venue side previously I can tell you there are the early bookers and then by Sept the stragglers come in strong 😊 if you are flexible with night of the week for the holiday party you’ll be fine (Thursdays tend to book first) but I’d start to reach out ASAP. The good news is you may have more negotiating power because by now they’re looking to fill in those remaining dates.
