Hi All - does anyone have recommendations for central and southern CA resorts for a 20-person offsite? I'm thinking along the lines of Ojai Valley Inn - but with a smaller price tag :)
might want to check out the new Zachari Dunes in Oxnard (its a Hilton). I haven’t been but its on the beach …
or maybe the new mattei’s tavern (auberge)? It’ll be pricey but probably not as expensive as OVI. Also Hotel Californian in Santa Barbara. El Encanto in SB. Or Mar Monte (Hyatt) in SB.
LOVE El Encanto - stayed there years ago to celebrate my engagement 🙂 I requested RFPs from Hotel Californian, El Encanto, Kimpton Canary Hotel, and the Landsby in Solvang (also stayed there and just love Solvang). I will definitely look into Zachari Dunes! I would not have thought to look in Oxnard! I also just saw Mattei's Tavern this morning and plan to reach out to them. Great suggestions, thank you @EventPlanner391!!
you are most welcome. I live in ventura so this is all sort of my (current) stomping grounds. I know Oxnard isn’t top of mind for most people 🤣 … love el encanto too. I almost got married there!
@EventPlanner391 My mom's family has been in SB and Ventura for 7+ generations and looking at these venues makes me miss it SO much. I grew up in TO. We loved going to Cafe Fiore for birthday dinners 🙂
oh that’s so funny. I was born/raised here too but only just moved “home” during covid after 20+ years away!
Charles Krug Vineyards might tickle this fancy!
Looking for restaurant recommendations that are open on a Sunday night (7:30 PM), mid-to-upscale for ~9 people in San Francisco (ideally downtown-ish area). Some of the places I've found that look great aren't open on Sundays!

Hi! Any favorite private dining rooms in San Francisco for 12ppl - need a great wine list with Italian focus. Thanks!
Hello!
I’m searching for distinctive venues in San Francisco for an event in November. They should have the capacity to host more than 400 attendees. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I am looking for a premium/high end event space for about 100 people for a one day event in November that also has space for breakouts in San Francisco. Not sure if anyone knows of any private spots or function space that would be accommodating to a small group with plenty of space for smaller group meetings.
Hi everyone! Does anyone have any venue recommendations in San Francisco (capacity: 3,000)?
Looking for a great SF restaurant private room, ideally 30-50 people. Needs to be fully private (not open to the main room of a restaurant).
More SF & LA questions for you all!
1. SF: Need 2 locations for a roundtable of 20-25 people that will serve breakfast or lunch. Prefer a restaurant, but am def open to hotel or meeting venue. (April 15 & 16). (I found this SF thread from a few weeks ago, but I think we have a little more budget than Wendy!)
2. LA: Need 2 dinner locations for April 16 & 17, about 15pax each dinner. Looking in West Hollywood/Beverly Hills area for Tuesday & Santa Monica/West Side area for Wednesday. Something nice, and quiet enough that it will allow for conversation (business dinners with potential clients).
Hi everyone! Looking for a venue in Los Angeles that isn't a hotel for an AI event for between 250-300 people - let me know if anything comes to mind - thank you 🙂
Looking for venues in Los Angeles! Looking for something chic that can accommodate up to 100 seated! Thanks 🙏
Hey Friends! Looking for recos for a restaurant in the San Fran area for dinner/dancing for 50-75 people? Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi! Looking for an intimate, luxe and unexpected venue somewhere in a chic LA neighborhood (beverly hills, weho, etc). would love any ideas!
Hi friends, Thank you for the NY recommendations! I am looking for a LA/West Hollywood venue that can hold 60-ish people for a half day event in the afternoon. Like 1-6 PM-ish. Any recos on venues or even what area of town to push over another? I'm pretty open.
LA - Looking for an indoor/outdoor venue for ~200 guests for a nonprofit event this fall. The Fig House is a good reference. City Market Social House would be too big. & Valentine is a bit too designed. Would love something in West Hollywood!

Hello, all! I'm looking for recommendations for a cool space in Los Angeles venue (Hollywood, WeHo, Culver City, DTLA, Mid-City) to host a networking reception (100-150 ppl). Preferably a venue has both indoor and outdoor space. The place that was used pre-pandemic is now closed so it would be great to find something similar. https://www.theparlorhollywood.com/

Hey guys! I’m looking for smaller venues in LA for a corporate networking event. It’s an afternoon event with presentations followed by a cocktail hour. I think the capacity should be for 50-100 ppl. The client tends to like trendy, colorful and out of the ordinary venues rather than hotel conference rooms. In-House AV setup is a plus. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance! 😊

Anyone have a cool, hip vibe DJ to use for a tech event in the bay area?
We could use some help from this amazing community -- we are trying to source venues in Boston and SF for June and our client has little to no money. We've looked at Loft on Two in Boston - and similar locations in SF (but they are just too pricey).
1 1/2 day program
150 people in SF and 75 people in BOS
Need main presentation room + 2 small breakout rooms + space to serve lunch
If the venue has built in AV, that is a plus b/c our AV budget is super small too.
Any ideas you may have is much appreciated.
Favorite San Francisco photographers for a 3 hour reception? Not a huge budget - hoping for +/- $300 an hour
