are guests in their 20s/early 30s still into photo booths these days? or have we moved more into backdrops for people to create their own content? 🤔
I have quite a few Gen Z's that work at our agency & anytime there's a photo booth at an event, they still like using them - what really commits them to using one is if their friends are there with them
Immersive photo booths like 360, AR, green screen, etc
good point @EventPlanner783 - i think open air booths just may not be interesting enough to the younger crowd. i think in that case it might need to be built out to more of a portrait studio situation
Portrait Studio OR Content Studios where video is an option.
big yes to video @EventPlanner112!
former photo tech employee here! agreed on what everyone above is saying - and if you're going to go with just a regular photo booth, a retouching filter goes a long way (it's why mirmir is so popular, but something they bake into their cost whereas other agencies consider it an add-on)
either way, people are more likely to capture a photo if there's some sort of booth, immersive or not, than if it's just a backdrop
i've also had clients do a sort of hybrid experience where guests could get involved with the backdrop and take pics with their phone, OR utilize the booth, and most people did both
Whenever I have seen the 360's at events they are a hit, they take a minute for guests to catch on to as they are "newer", but once they do the word spreads like wildfire!
good point about retouching @EventPlanner845 that feels like a must these days, esp given mirmir's popularity. @EventPlanner518 i'm pushing a client to bring in a 360 now! i think their popularity has to do with how unique the content is/how different it is from something you could just do with your phone

Hosting a meet-up with 100pax in each city. Food and Drinks + Tech included. Any recommendations?
Popping in with two questions today. First….. Favorite small private rooms for a lunch in Manhattan (needs to be in Manhattan).
