Hi all, I work for a non-profit in NYC and have a budget of $5k to do a nicer cocktail reception for 50 people in a donated gallery space in a few weeks. Premium beer and wine, passed hors d'oeuvres and/or grazing table. I just got a quote from a caterer for $14k which includes rentals and staffing. ANother caterer thinks they can do it for $8k. Any thoughts on a lower price caterer in NYC? Or any experience with a grazing table or similar idea? We don't need a caterer with liquor license for this event, thankfully. So I can solve for wine, rentals and staffing outside of catering if needed.
